Leftover candy can benefit United Way, troops and you

Athens dentist Dr. Dale Kennedy hopes to fight cavities and benefit children, troops and the United Way through his candy buyback on Nov. 3 and 5. Kennedy will give kids $1 in exchange for each pound of candy they sell up to 10 pounds along with a treat bag. He will match that donation to the United Way and send all the candy to troops overseas as a way of thanking them for their service.
