Tennessee Wesleyan College students, staff and faculty got a healthy dose of medicine Thursday in a bid to prevent the spread of the H1N1 influenza, or swine flu, and the best part was the vaccinations were free. |

Alleged robber jailed as another is sought
An Athens man has been arrested on an indictment from the Etowah Police Department on a charge that he broke in on an elderly Etowah woman and robbed her. Now, the man is being held on $500,000 bond while law enforcement looks for another man who was indicted on the same case. |

ARMC presents 'Family Forest' of Christmas trees
Athens Regional Medical Center will present "Family Forest," a pageant of beautifully decorated Christmas trees each with a special theme for the holidays. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, and Friday, Nov. 20, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on both days.
