Ella Mae Coleman Casteel

Ella Mae Coleman Casteel, 72, of Etowah, died Thursday morning, May 28, 2009, at her residence.

A daughter of the late Felix Patrick and Elva Rose Humphrey Coleman, she was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. She was a charter member of Cambria Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Thomas Casteel; and two brothers, John Curtis Coleman and Carl Walter Coleman.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Larry Walker of Englewood; two grandchildren, Madison Walker and Seth Walker; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Frances Coleman of Englewood, J.L. and Marie Coleman of Athens, and Joe and Edith Coleman and Paul and Nancy Coleman, all of Etowah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada and Tommy Massingale and Pauline and Joe Gonzales, all of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Belcher and the Rev. Eddie Rowland officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday and will proceed to Cambria Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial.
