She was born Aug. 9, 1915 in Etowah to the late Rass and Lillie Latham. She had one brother and three sisters. While she spent most of her life in Tennessee, she also lived in Oak Park, Ill., where she worked for Burnie Brothers Bakery. She also resided in Philadelphia, Pa. before returning home to Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Shoffeitt; two children, daughter, Brenda Kilner, and son, Farrell Shoffeitt.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret \"Tiny\" Johnson of Etowah; one daughter-in-law, Kay Shoffeitt of Sapphire, N.C.; three grandsons and spouses, Todd and Kelly Shoffeitt of Aurora, Ill., Dean Shoffeitt of Huntington Beach, Calif., and James and April Kilner of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two great-grandchildren, Pierce and Arielle Kilner of Philadelphia, Pa.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Thompson officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Juanita\'s memory to a charity or church of choice.
