Edward Hugh Stewart

He was of the Baptist faith, and was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Guy and Emma Mae King Stewart; his wife, Anna Mae West Stewart; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eddy Stewart of Ten Mile, and Fred and Gail Stewart of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Eddie Crowder of Ten Mile; one sister, Betsy Perry of Athens; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were 3 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Decatur with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating.
There was no formal visitation.
Bowers Funeral Home of Decatur was in charge of arrangements.
